EnviroSolve assisted a major client in developing a waste management system (WMS) for enterprise-wide application, including Guidelines outlining the organization's waste policy, as well as transportation, manifesting, waste site auditing, and waste management procedures and practices. Additionally, EnviroSolve researched and assembled a consolidated list of "approved" waste sites for the client, compiling it into an interactive database containing nearly 1,500 sites, with contact and contract information, audit history, and active audit reports stored in PDF files, ranging from several pages to several hundred pages in length, and stored in the WasteTrak.com website. The WMS also included the selection of WasteTrak as the website in which to store not only the database, but also the WMS Guidelines, contracts, and other pertinent waste management information.
EnviroSolve is currently assisting the company in managing their enterprise-wide WMS including managing the database of "approved" sites, conducting waste site audits, tracking financial performance of publicly traded waste management companies, tracking news and issuing alerts to company employees, performing in-depth research on related waste management issues, and assisting company in administration of an auditing trade association membership. Participation in the trade association, as well as other efficiencies (e.g., avoiding duplication of audits), saved the company nearly $175,000 in audit costs in one year. In addition, by utilizing the audit system, the WMS is projected to save the client millions of dollars in PRP clean-up costs by avoiding poorly managed waste sites.
